Mindforms are a concept found in Panavic and related cultures, where neurotypes are split into categories which are used as an axis by which to set roles and expectations for groups of people. In this way, they serve a similar role to gender (although gender still exists in Panavic cultures) but more grounded in actual behaviors.

Some examples include the appointment of people with anxiety disorders to places where possible risks of actions or scenarios must be carefully considered, or the preference for sociopaths as generals, given that they are people that would not mind the cruelty of war. However, this also generalizes beyond what English-speakers think of as neurodivergences - for example, the phantasia spectrum is a strong example of a categorization axis which Panavic culture uses to divide up responsibility among its people.

The role of mindforms in Panavic society has resulted in Panavis falling strongly on the "nature" side of the nature vs. nurture debate.

In Panavic mythology, mindforms are associated with differing interactions between the urbax and its host being.
