The Mairoi (singular: Mairo) are a race of humans living in Aenahai. They physically resemble pale-skinned standard humans with dark hair and androgynous features. Culturally, they place a high focus on aesthetics and have little flexibility in their opinions, alongside often failing to recognize emergent problems in society. They also have long-standing bad relations with the grebs. The term "Maier" refers to the Mairo nation as a collective.
Development
[edit | edit source]The Mairoi are inspired by humans from discarded iterations of Crow's worldbuild "Year 0", which has a faction called the "Myrre" (pronounced similarly to Maier). Additionally, the name is inspired by Mairon (Sauron) from Lord of the Rings.
