Farnitan is a major trading and cultural center in southern [[Liruzon]], which has existed and rose to power since its independence from [[Niderazon]] in [[Timeline/600-699 SR|605 SR]], and is often considered a successor to Niderazon's authority. It is built on the historical site of the city of [[Vard]]. Since [[Timeline/900-999 SR|915 SR]], Farnitan has also been well-known for being [[Falairos]]' base of operations. The city also standardized the Liruzona gold piece ([[G]]), and is one of the only places where historical [[labor]] distinctions have not yet collapsed, leaving a distinction between private servitude and other kinds of private work.
