Greater Ezvelan is the icy region to the north of [[Liruzon]]. It is inhabited chiefly by [[Ezef|ezov]] and the [[Yaref|yarov]] of Yarzon-Ezvelan. Most inhabited areas are along the southern coast, as the center of the continent is a massive ice sheet. Ezvelan is, in fact, a large island, separated from continental Iltezon by a narrow strait and from [[Montera]], [[Vance]], and [[Valvar]] by the Gulf of Montera.

== Geography ==
Greater Ezvelan is a large island to the north of mainland [[Rodin]], and consists of the icy Vyrau Wastes to the center and north, home to none but the occasional yaref. In the northwest is the isolated Geldin Sound, a harsh boreal region that is regardless habitable, especially to [[ezov]]. Continuing south along the coast is Franzelan, a moderately populated region generally considered peripheral to yet distinct from the primary Ezvelan region.

Ezvelan proper consists of the southern and southwestern coast, along the [[Yaseo Mountains]] and the [[Kodakoda Trench]], and is the primary home of the [[ezov]]; the western island chain, [[Azadir]], has a distinct population but is also ezef-based, and has intentionally remained separate from Ezvelan proper.

In the western part of the Yaseo Mountains are the surface settlements of the [[Tadeleti]], and just south thereof is the high kingdom of Yarzon-Ezvelan.

In the southeast, the Straits of Ezvelan separate the subcontinent from the [[Vana]] region
