Rahazun
Rahazun is an important city and trade hub located in Monselian, in central Liruzon. It is north of Myalvi, and was initially a rather minor settlement of ezov, and then of vedil under Niderazon until 572 SR. To distinguish it from its recent wider empire and county, the city itself is called Ezref.
It was in 435 that Rahazun became a major city, with the arrival of the Historian and the founding of the University of Monselian. Later developments associated with Rahazun include primary education in 721 (associated with Jezen and Ravi).
In 648, Siegetev became the ruler of Rahazun. This resulted in the Invasion of Yarzon-Watershed.
Afterwards, rulers like Karol-Kalvi, Lekusa-Kalvi and Ana-Kalvi sought to destroy Siegetev's legacy, and ended up erasing a lot of important history as a result. However, in 663, the council gained the right to declare an Emperor unfit for rule.
Government
The Emperor of Rahazun (as of 900-904 SR Sarnelkh) rules over the empire of Rahazun. The counties comprising the Empire are each ruled by a Count who answers to the Emperor, with the Count of Rahazun County serving a replacement role if the Emperor is away or unable to rule. At the bottom level, there are the Chiefs of each city or ward, which answer to their Count and to the Emperor. This means that the Golden City itself (Ezref) has three rulers, at the kingdom, county, and ward level. The Emperor is elected by a council, as with other Panavic elective monarchies.
