An '''ezef''' (plural: '''ezov''') is a human of the variety inhabiting [[Ezvelan]] and northern [[Liruzon]]. They have a distinctive furred appearance, similar to a polar bear while still being human, and have very short lifespans of about 40-50 [[Year|years]]. The average ezef is about 5 feet tall. Established aspects of Ezeva culture include the [[Ezeva mythology]], alongside the use of altered mental states (i.e. via psychoactive drugs) for various purposes, including the "berserker warriors" noted by colonists from [[Myalvi]], being warriors who would fight in a trance-like state.

Ezeva culture models life and death as a cycle including reincarnation.
