Determination

Determination is the essence that makes human SOULs persistent. It can be extracted and injected into yarov to make their SOULs persistent - but the yarov is essentially the SOUL, resulting in an unnaturally long-lived and invulnerable, amorphous being called an amalgamate forming upon physical death. The being with the most determination in the barrier surrounding the Ebott Underground was able to "SAVE", reverting time to an earlier point.

Determination can be used to resurrect a dead individual from the physical matter formerly making them up (an intact dead body for a human or a dusted object for a monster). This creates a "soulless" version of that individual without certain motives (varying by instance). One notable example was Bejburi.
